Ashwagandha is a bush that thrives in the sandy dry soils of India. ashwagandha is used as an herb in Ayurvedic medicine In Ayurveda, the berries and leaves are applied externally to tumors, tubercular glands, carbuncles, and ulcers. The plant’s long, brown, tuberous roots are used for medicinal purposes by preparing the herbal remedy ashwagandha, which has been traditionally used to treat various symptoms and conditions.
