Moringa

 

Moringa Oleifera, a small deciduous tree, of the family Moringaceae contains highly nutritious leaves that are rich in Vitamins, Manganese, Magnesium, Lysine, Riboflavin, Calcium, Thiamin, Potassium, Iron, Protein, Niacin and contains 46 powerful natural flavonoid antioxidants. Moringa is considered one of the world’s most useful trees, as almost every part of the Moringa tree can be used for food or has some other beneficial property. This pan-tropical species has appeared in many reports in mainstream scientific journals describing its nutritional and medicinal properties over the past two decades. As with the many findings of the nutritional or medicinal value of a natural product, there are an alarming number of purveyors of “healthful” foods who are now promoting Moringa as a panacea. The nutritional profile of the leaf is especially high and is comparable to wheat grass, spirulina and chlorella.
